My Dog Oliver had TPLO surgery on both his back legs at the same time about 4 years ago and I have to say the only supplement that I have him on is GlycanAid HA Factor and he is doing amazing. I recently had him on a diet to lose 15 pounds and now at 7 1/2 years old he is just like a puppy. I know between the weight loss and the GlycanAid he is doing the best that he can and I would recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with an dog with joint pain. I laugh every morning when Oliver moves his kibble out of the way to get to the GlycanAid tablets, always eats them first.

Hello Dr. J:
Ginger, my 12 year old dog, is 5 months post-op from ACL surgery. She seems happy and comfortable and still takes me on daily walks. I was initially concerned that she wouldn’t take GlycanAid HA tablets because she refuses to take anything that resembles “medicine.” I am very pleased to report that she looks forward to taking the GlycanAid HA tablets and she considers them “treats.”
Thank you!

I have a 9 year old English bulldog and she was starting to show problems with her hips. She wasn’t able to walk and was afraid to get up from her bed. I started giving her the GlycanAid supplements last Monday (6/29) and as of today (7/6) she is already walking up and down stairs. It is amazing! I cannot believe the change and improvement she has shown. The best!
Here she is. I seriously cannot stop talking about how amazing your product is. Thank you again!

Hi Dr.!
Thank you so much for your courteous email! I have been a long time satisfied customer of TopDog, for almost 3 years now, specifically GlycanAid HA.
I want to thank you for introducing me to GlycanAid HA, as I even called in years ago and was given the utmost best expertise and advice when first introducing my husky to the product. This product saved my Roxy, and transformed her life, so thank you! Prior to using the product, my Roxy had a mild ACL tear (in addition to already moderate arthritis setting in), and I opted not to do surgery based on her age (I believe she was 9 or ten at that time). Roxy’s arthritis starting getting worse, and her hind legs would fail her when hopping on the couch (which she wasn’t even allowed to do). I got Roxy on GlycanAid HA and followed the usage recommendation after calling in, till the day she passed this January (not due to arthritis side effects, etc), she STILL bounced around like a pup (just slept more). I have now continued to purchase GlycanAid HA for my mom’s maltipoo, Charlie. And it has been his miracle worker. He no longer grumbles when touching his back, and she gave him a new nickname – Sparky…because he is a bouncy new dog every morning now! He no longer walks, but RUNS everywhere he goes! So thank you!!! And I have now adopted a 5 year old Husky, and will be getting her on Glycanaid HA as well!

Lucy is on a joint supplement – has been for 7-8 years – there was very little arthritis in the joint as a result… more recently she has been on your GlycanAid… we’re on the second bottle! She really likes it and eats it right up… getting what she needs in her has always been a challenge for a picky Standard Poodle – so it is a big deal for us to have your product – especially now – she chomps it right down! (It’s nice for something to be easy!) The upside is being picky has also kept her trim… and she has lived a life of a very active dog – with how this looks changing with her age…
Regarding getting back to her life after this big event – Lucy will have PT support from her canine masseuse and acupuncture as well… I am icing her 3 times a day, doing gentle massage myself, and very gentle passive range of motion as she is only 2 days post ob. …so I think we are off to a good start!
I’ve attached a picture of Lucy at the end of her time as hiking dog… she’s still a marvel – though our adventures are much more simple now… these are what we hope to get back to… nice walks on our back 40 trails in Montpelier, Vermont…
I’ll keep you posted as she moves through the recovery process and look forward to your email updates.

Maya gets one GlycanAid HA twice a day. There’s no forgetting because she comes looking for it. It’s “dessert” following the breakfast meal and the diner meal. She’s our little rescue girl. When she came to Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida, she was in rough shape. Both knees were bad and had been for over a year, and she was in a lot of pain. She needed TPLO surgery. We fostered Maya following the first surgery in September 2013. While researching rehabilitation information, I found Top Dog and a wealth of informative information to help us help Maya recover. We switched her to GlycanAid HA early on following the first surgery and she’s been taking it daily since. It’s been almost 2 years since surgery number 1 and about 19 months since surgery number 2 and Maya is doing great. She had been in pain for so long, she was very cautious and afraid to run, so It’s been fun to watch her grow confident in her movements and discover she can run and do things without pain.

I’m skeptical of all the supplements recommended for my dogs hind legs. He, a 10 year old mixed breed, had three surgeries on two legs. The vet was not particularly effusive of any supplement, ” you can try them ” she said dryly. Dr. J’s knee surgery handbook was the only one available anywhere , and after following it the best we could, we decided to try his supplement.
I’m still as skeptic and can only offer my observation on our dog. Surely each dog will react differently to supplements. Ours is doing fantastic ! It could be the recovery time from the surgery , it could be his reduced diet. But I will tell you that we were using Dasequin and Welactin for quite some time with very little change in his activity level or use of the back legs. Now we use the GlycanAid HA and Welactin and can see that he runs and jumps like he used to before the surgeries. He is very active, has built back muscle in those legs and we are praying this is a permanent change for the better for the remainder of his years.

One year ago this month, our almost 6 year old girl, Lily had a TPLO on her right hind leg. I found Top Dog while preparing for surgery and doing a search on how to rehab your dog afterward. I was so glad to have the reassurance of other people who had gone through this. That’s when I learned of GlycanAid HA.
It’s been a year now of disciplined rehab for our girl, but I’m happy to say that she is back to her active self. All along we have been supplementing her with this product and so far the other leg is doing fine and we hope she will never have to experience another TPLO. Lily loves to take her “treat” right after her meals and knows it isn’t complete until she has her GlycanAid HA.

Hi Dr J.,
Thanks for your mail. My dog Lily had TPLO surgery in Oct. 2012. We were very thankful for your help with the recovery using all your suggestions for getting her back on her feet. Unfortunately she has a very sensitive stomach and every time I gave her the GlycanAid HA, she got diarrhea, so I kept my jar sitting on the counter, reading all the wonderful stories about how it helped other dogs.
She still had a slight limp after 2.5 years but so far she was doing well with the other leg. When I had the feeling that her stomach was improving, I started her on small doses of GlycanAid HA about 2 months ago because we adopted a new puppy (5 month same breed lab/pit mix). They took to each other like a duck to water. Lily and Basti are wild players and she is so much more active, her limp has disappeared and she is using both hind legs now equally and we can see that she is developing more muscle on the TPLO leg, this after keeping her on GlycanAid HA for 2 months.
