It always amazes me that when I ask pet owners if they give their dog a joint supplement….for those that do…. they immediately say ….yeah I give my dog glucosamine. It seems almost as if glucosamine has become the poster child of joints.
There is no disputing that glucosamine is one of the essential ingredients needed for healthy joints but the reality is glucosamine alone is simply not enough. It is only one small part of a much larger picture.
That said, here are two main things you need to know to keep your dog’s joints happy, healthy, and comfortable.
#1: You need a supplement that incorporates at least two if not all three of these Joint Building Blocks.
- Glucosamine HCL
- Chondroitin sulfate
- Hyaluronic acid
#2: Equally as important, if not more important is using a supplement balanced with several of the following ingredients. All of these ingredients have substantial clinical studies validating their joint benefits.
- MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl methane)
- Vitamin C
- Avocado Soybean Unasponified (ASU)
- Cetyl Myristoleate
- Other High-Quality Omega 3 Fatty Acids
When it comes to finding the right joint supplement for your dog, it is critical to find a product that is balanced and will support the joint on multiple levels, this is what I call comprehensive joint support. That is why I worked so diligently to find the perfect combination for our advanced joint supplement Glycanaid® HA and Flexerna Omega®. This powerhouse combination combines all the right nutrients to give your dog’s joint the support they need to keep your dog acting like a puppy.
